What is SIDR HONEY

The magnificent terrains of central Asia proffer what is said to be the nutraceutical jewel of the east; Sidr honey or Monofloral honey, the richest and most splendid of nectars whether that be in taste or medicinal benefits.

Sidr honey is the best aphrodisiac and an instant energy shot along with being an immunity booster. The curative properties are endless.

Sidr honey is extracted from a sacred, deep-rooted tree scientifically known as Ziziphus Spina-Christi and commonly known as the Sidr or Lote tree. It is a primeval evergreen vegetating in coastal or hot, desert areas specifically in Baluchistan, Sudan, Libya and the Southern part of the Arabian Peninsula however an abundance of Sidr trees burgeon in Eastern Yemen due to alluvial soil and desirable climate.

The Sidr tree is beneficial from its bark to the berries and their nectar-filled flowers posses a distinct, sweet redolence to attract bees and which is also a signature scent to distinguish original Sidr honey from the rest.

This thick, syrupy substance is the oasis of the desert and contains powerful nutrients that make up its value. The honey is then harvested and preserved using conventional beekeeping procedures and absolutely no drugs or artificial preservatives that may have undesirable effects on the quality of the honey.

The harvest then becomes vats of deliciously thick, sweet Sidr honey with the unique scent and a buttery, velvety texture along with a dappled amber color that darkens upon the passage of time.
Not only is it a feast to savor but is also brimming with nutrients, enzymes and other minerals beneficial to health.
